What's a search engine?

A search engine is a computer that reviews (and ranks in an order) the content of Websites.  If a person enters 'hispanic newspapers' into a search engine, that person will be shown a list of sites to visit that contain the word golf.  As an example, Google (the most popular search engine on the Internet) has 532,000 Web pages to choose from when ' hispanic newspapers' is searched for.
